2023 NFL Season Future /Outright Bets

The NFL season is on the horizon and the anticipation continues to build up. New season means narratives, over reactions and under estimations. Bookmakers set their betting lines, but the punters and their stakes determine how those lines move. Right or wrong, the volatility of movement is where value and traps are found and we aim to get as much value as possible. Based on the very speculative and longshot nature of Future/Outright bets, we target very high odds in order to maximize our winnings in the event that we hit the bulls eye.

Without further ado, here are some of our favourite Future/Outright bets for the 2023 NFL season;

Super Bowl Winners: Cincinnati Bengals @11/1

A perennial Playoffs participant, only two years removed from a Super Bowl appearance, the Bengals seem primed for a legitimate push at the Lombardi this year. With the Chiefs, Bills and a stout AFC conference also in the mix to contend with, the Bengals might not seem like the obvious choice, but all the ingredients are there, an elite QB , elite pass catchers and a stout defense.

MVP: Joe Burrow @10/1

This is one award that has slowly turned into an unofficial Best QB of the year award with Adrian "All Day" Peterson being the last non-QB to scoop up the accolade back in 2012. 15 of the last 16 MVP winners have been Quarterbacks and all played on teams that won 11+ games that season. Candidates for this award usually put up high numbers as far as production and efficiency are concerned and in this year's candidate we believe he possesses the ability to be both productive and efficient. With a bevvy of pass catching weapons at his disposal we anticipate Joe Burrow leading the pack on his way to a prolific MVP campaign.

Offensive Player of the Year: Ja'Marr Chase @12/1

Due to the QBs stronghold on the MVP award, all other offensive players have to fight and settle for the next best award, the Offensive Player of the Year Award . With the passing game receiving al the hype these days and the Running Backs losing their stardom, the Wide Receivers have taken centre stage in recent years. They get fed the ball majority of the time, allowing them to showcase their talents. After a record setting Rookie campaign and a very productive sophomore season, albeit extra attention from opposing defenses, Ja'Marr Chase has showcased his elite talents and with Joe Burrow feeding him the ball, it's only a matter of time before he overthrows Jefferson at the helm of the position. The stars have aligned and it's Chase's time to shine.

Defensive Player of the Year: Myles Garrett @7/1

Myles Garrett has been a dominant force since day 1, albeit without good, consistent support on the defensive line to help divert some attention off him. He's still managed to steam roll through double teams on his way to double digit sack seasons consistently. The Browns have bolstered their defensive line which will give Garrett more 1 on 1 matches and he should be able to feast, possible exceed over 20 sacks on the season.

Since 2012, Luke Kuechly (Linebacker) and Stephon Gilmore (Cornerback) are the only non Defensive Lineman to hoist the award. Our candidates stem from a small pool of elite pass rushers who

consistently put up high sack numbers. This formula plus the odds brought us to this short elite list of candidates who'll hopefully cash a bet for us.

Offensive Rookie of the Year:

Bijan Robinson @2.6/1

Jordan Addison @14/1

Anthony Richardson @7/1

Numbers don't lie when it comes to this accolade. It's usually that one Rookie that puts up a great Numbers that's a sure fire runaway winner . There's more variety of winning positions as QB bias is not so heavy. We've seen WRs, RBs and QBs win it in recent years, and this year has potent candidates from various positions. Any candidate that pits up a healthy stat line whilst captivating NFL fans at the same time will surely win over a lot of votes once time to cast the ballots.

Defensive Rookie of the Year Candidates:

Will Anderson Jr @4/1

Devon Witherspoon @10/1

Christian Gonzalez @12/1

Emmanuel Forbes @13/1

Historical trends have shown that voters tend to favor productive defenders in the passing game for this award. This means that our candidates must show a promise of high production from the get go in the form of sacks, interceptions or in the rare occasion, tally up triple digit solo tackles. All our candidates are either pass rushers or cornerbacks, who have very good production profiles from their collegiate career as that should translate well to the pros.

Coach of the Year: Demeco Ryans @20/1

A 1st Year Head Coach coming in to lead a franchise with low expectations has an easy path to this accolade by merely exceeding their teams low season win total. With a Rookie QB pulling the trigger and a blue chip prospect on the defensive side of the ball, the pieces are in place for the Texans to get off to a better start of Ryans' tenure than most expect.

Comeback Player of The Year: Damar Hamlin @0.2/1

Hamlin will have this award locked down the moment he sets foot on the field for his first snap since that shocking collapse against the Bengals. The man fought for his life and won, and his journey back to the field after such a harrowing experience surely warrants and fully deserves the award for Comeback Player of the Year, if not decade.

NFC EAST Division Winner : Dallas Cowboys @1.9/1

Normally we would advise against locking down funds for months for low odds such as these but given the fact the NFC East hasn't had a team win the division two years in a row since the mid 2000's is about a solid a trend to bet on as there is out there. With the Cowboys best setup to overthrow the Eagles, we'll give them a shot.

Best of luck and let's cash some bets!
