Gareth and Taylor about the extreme weather that they had been facing in Arlington and how cold and frozen over it was. They talk about training and how it had been going. Taylor said,
So far so good. We have been through about 10 sessions together as a team. Things had been going great. We was looking forward to our first game rehearsal. it was going to be a pre-season game. We was going to play 1 quarter of football followed by some situation stuff yesterday. That was going to be a big stepping stop of the team and seeing what it is was like under the lights and putting in the work we’ve been putting in together would have been a nice privilege. But as we mentioned earlier the weather tampered that.
They also talked about his time in China playing for the Shanghai Skywalkers and how that opportunity came about and his time in China and what the crowds was like in China. They also discuss the return of the Arena Football League and the important for leagues like the XFL, USFL, AFL etc to help players developer. Taylor said,
I think it is huge, when you look at the amount of talent that we have in the states playing football from the pop warner to 7 on 7 days to the high school, to 100 plus schools in division 3 to division 2 and division 1. Not to forget to mention the Junior Colleges. There are thousands of guys that if they even knew there was potential opportunity out there after colleague aside from the NFL you’d potentially get a lot more guys who pursue it. A lot of those guys would turn into quality players who could potentially make the NFL. I think every single league out here has its place.
Gareth and Taylor also talked about the importance the XFL having a direct link with the NFL and the opportunities that creates and how as a kicker if there was only the NFL there would only be 32 jobs in the whole world and how important the XFL and other leagues are to help propel people. They also talked about Taylors time in St Louis and him having the current XFL Record.
Taylor is great guy and someone Id love to speak to again later this season. Huge respect for him.
