GUARDIANS ANNOUNCE 2023 OPENING WEEK ROSTER

Final roster cuts were made Thursday in conjunction with end of training camp

ORLANDO (February 9, 2023) The Orlando Guardians today announced their 51-man roster to begin the 2023 XFL season. The team concluded its final practice of training camp on Thursday morning.

“Training camp has been an incredible experience, but the Guardians are now ready to get into game week and start preparing for Feb. 18 and the Houston Roughnecks,” head coach Terrell Buckley said. “While we’re incredibly excited to get the season started, it is important for me to say thank you to each and every player we had in our training camp. There were many incredibly difficult decisions that had to be made to get to our final roster, but we feel great about the guys who will suit up for Orlando next Saturday.”

The Guardians’ roster includes 3 quarterbacks, 2 running backs, 7 wide receivers, 3 tight ends, 8 offensive linemen, 10 defensive linemen, 6 linebackers, 10 defensive backs, 1 punter and 1 kicker.

Orlando will open the season Saturday, Feb. 18 at Houston, with kickoff set for 8:30 p.m. ET and the game broadcast on ESPN and FX. The Guardians’ home opener is slated for Sunday, Feb. 26 at Camping World Stadium, as the San Antonio Brahmas visit for a 4 p.m. contest that will air on ESPN.
